Minimalist pencil sketch of a winding road extending forward, representing openness, reflection, and new possibilities.

Maybe, Just Maybe

Maybe, just maybe, the road we’re on isn’t as fixed as it feels.

It’s easy to believe that the way things are is the way they have to be. That the systems we’ve inherited, the expectations we carry, and the pace we keep are simply part of the job. Over time, that belief settles in quietly. We stop questioning it. We work around it. We adapt.

But every once in a while, something interrupts that rhythm. A conversation. A story. A book. A moment where we pause long enough to consider a different way forward.

Maybe, just maybe, we don’t need to push harder.
Maybe the work doesn’t have to feel quite so heavy.
Maybe there is another way to think about the road ahead.

I’ve found that inspiration rarely shows up as a dramatic turning point. More often, it arrives as a small shift in perspective. A sentence that lingers. An idea that nudges us to look again at something we thought we already understood.

Those moments don’t give us answers. They give us permission.

Permission to be curious.
Permission to question assumptions.
Permission to imagine a different path, even if we’re not ready to take it yet.

That’s why I’m always drawn to books that don’t tell me what to do, but invite me to think differently. The ones that remind me that leadership, learning, and growth are not about having it all figured out, but about staying open to what might be possible.

Maybe, just maybe, the most important step forward is simply being willing to see the road differently.
